We are currently hiring CDL A Port Drivers. If you’re an experienced driver at the PORT & RAIL with a valid TWIC card and meet the qualifications below, this could be your next great opportunity!
🚛 Position Details
Job Type: Full-Time (1099 position)
Routes: This is NOT A LOCAL POSITION will be a mix of everything mostly Regional & OTR
Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday.
Compensation: Competitive weekly pay
Equipment: Manual Trucks
Workload: Multiple runs daily, including port, rails and import deliveries
Technology: Smartphone required for operations
☑️ Qualifications
Active & valid Class A CDL
TWIC card
Active & valid Medical Card
Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent CDL driving, with port experience required
☑️ Record:
Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Report)
No accidents, DUI/DWI, or failed/refused drug tests within the past 5 years
Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening
Effective English communication skills
☑️ Responsibilities
Make multiple runs daily between yards, ports, and import delivery.
Provide accurate ETA updates via phone or text
Operate efficiently within port and delivery operations
☑️ Additional Information
Port of Houston, Rails making multiple daily runs possible
One-week hold required upon hire
Assistance available for TWIC card application if not already obtained
