This is not a local position. Applicants must be willing to travel nationwide and may be away from home for up to two weeks at a time, depending on customer schedules and load requirements.

* Current PEVO/Pilot Car Certification
* Clean driving record
* Ability to travel throughout the United States

Preferred Experience:

* Chase Car Operations
* High Pole Operations
* Route Surveys
* Oversize/Overweight Load Escorting
* Commercial trucking or oversize load experience

Delivery driver, courier, rideshare, and package delivery experience are not considered Pilot Car experience.
We welcome experienced Pilot Car Operators, Hotshot Drivers, and CDL drivers with documented oversize/overweight load experience who are willing to learn and perform Lead, Chase, and High Pole escort duties.
Responsibilities:
* Escort oversize and overweight loads safely and professionally
* Operate company-provided pilot vehicle and equipment
* Maintain communication with drivers and dispatch
* Identify route hazards and clearance issues
* Follow all state regulations and company safety procedures
* Represent Texas Best Pilots professionally at all times
