Rigging / Millwright Supervisor — Traveling Project Work
An established rigging and millwright company is hiring an experienced Site Supervisor for upcoming projects. This is a traveling, project-based position with an immediate start (within the next 2 weeks). You can live anywhere in the U.S. — we fly or drive you to the job site.
What you'll do:
Supervise a crew of 4 to 5 developing riggers / millwrights on site
Manage the daily trucking and material delivery schedule
Run the safety program on site and keep the job in compliance with OSHA and client requirements
Read prints, plan rigging picks, and direct equipment moves and machinery installs
Customer communication and property manager communication
Communicate daily with the project manager and the customer's site contact
Keep the crew on schedule and on budget
The work:
Heavy industrial rigging and millwright work — food and beverage processing plants, manufacturing facilities, and industrial machinery moves and installations. Project length are typically roughly 1 to 3 months.
What we're looking for:
5+ years of rigging or millwright experience
OSHA 30 (or willing to obtain before mobilizing)
Rigging and signal person certification a strong plus
Valid driver's license
Able to read mechanical and rigging prints
Comfortable running a small crew, holding people accountable, and keeping the job safe
Willing and able to travel for the duration of the project

All tooling and rigging equipment
Daily meal per diem on top of wages (modest — housing is already covered)
Pay: competitive, based on experience (TBD with the right candidate)
Start date: Immediate — within 2 weeks.
