Duties
Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and other key components.
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles running smoothly.
Repair or replace mechanical components including engines, transmissions, powertrain systems, and diesel engines with precision and attention to detail.
Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical systems like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and automotive electrical wiring.
Execute wheel alignments, suspension repairs, welding tasks, and other mechanical repairs to restore vehicle safety and handling.
Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, or replace parts while adhering to safety protocols.
Document all repairs accurately in service records; communicate effectively with customers about work performed and recommended services.
Requirements
Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and electrical systems.
Hands-on experience with schematics reading, ADAS calibration, wheel alignment equipment, welding tools, and auto estimating software.
Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; experience working on diesel engines is highly desirable.
Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately; excellent problem-solving skills for complex diagnostics.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, automotive electrical testing devices, and maintenance equipment.
