Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects, ensuring all work meets safety standards and quality expectations. Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join various metals including sheet metal and structural components.
Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal parts.
Conduct measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accurate fabrication according to specifications.
Fabricate structural components, or custom metal assemblies for construction or manufacturing projects.
Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks on-site or in the workshop.
Follow ASME codes & standards for welding and fabrication processes while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and site protocols.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques; experience with welding preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other fabrication instruments.
Knowledge of mechanical systems including pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly processes.
Familiarity with rigging operations involving cranes or other lifting equipment.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Experience working with sheet metal, ductwork, or structural steel is highly desirable.
Valid forklift certification is a plus; ability to operate machinery such as press brake machines or plasma cutters is advantageous.
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to follow schematics and technical instructions for precise assembly.
