2 years stick welding experience
Torch Operations experience
TWIC card required
Experience in various welding rods/stick (60-series and 70-series) welding
Consent for a pre-employment drug test screening
A great attitude when dealing with coworkers and customers
Ability to work Saturday/Sunday as required based on business needs (No Exceptions)
Ability to travel to various locations for projects (No Exceptions)
Ability to work in various weather conditions (extreme heat)
Responsibilities include, but not be limited to:
· Complete welding projects for clients in a timely professional manner
· Assist in selecting and procuring the right material and equipment needed for welding, measuring and aligning workpieces.
· Assisting and evaluating welding procedures and recommending improvements
· Effectively use a variety of hand, power, bench tools, and measuring devices
· Obtain required configurations and positions
· Setup, change and troubleshoot welding processes, welding perimeters, gas flow, and regulations
· Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid warping and shrinkage
· Assist other team members as needed
· Repair lines/leads if damaged
Qualifications:
· Maritime Industry experience preferred
· Ability to pass welding test (3G,4G) via stick according to AWS D1.1 and Arc Marine Welding Procedures
· Operational knowledge of hand tools and power tools
· Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints and instructions
· Ability to climb up to 60ft
· Ability to lift 50lbs
· Willingness to learn equipment usage and troubleshoot minor issues
· Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions
· Ability to follow standard safety standards
