Requirements
-Must possess a valid TWIC Card
-Must have a valid Driver’s License
-Punctual and dependable
-Ability to work outdoors in changing and/or extreme weather conditions including rain, heat, wind, humidity, and cold temperatures
-No prior experience or training required
Job Duties
-Control entry and exit at terminal or facility gates
-Check IDs, TWIC cards, badges, and shipping paperwork
-Inspect trucks, containers, and cargo movement
-Log incoming and outgoing vehicles and visitors
-Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
-Direct truck drivers and visitors to proper locations
-Report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches
-Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and terminal staff
-Maintain daily activity logs and incident reports
-Enforce port security rules and federal maritime regulations
Preferred Qualifications
-High school diploma or GED
-Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
-Security experience preferred but not required
-Basic computer and data-entry skills
-Strong communication skills
