We are online company located south of Houston. We go to comic con conventions throughout the USA during the year and are looking for a booth helper. This booth helper should be ok with the following.
-Lifting containers up to 40lbs - (This will only be needed during setup and breakdown of shows)
-Standing for long periods of time - (During shows we have waves of people and sometimes we can go a few hours without sitting down. We do encourage sitting when you can but if we are busy we can't)
- Knowledge of anime, sci-fi and other pop culture hobbies. Our customers love to chat and talk and knowing this would help a ton. If not must be willing to learn. Helps with sales and talking to customers.
-Must be comfortable driving chevy truck with 20 foot trailer attached. We will teach you and help but it is a must as we drive to all shows with our inventory.
- Must be able to drive through the night. We drive to shows nonstop and drive in shifts. Must be able to drive for a couple hours. You have to be able to sleep when its your turn and drive when its your turn as well.
-Must be ok sharing a hotel room with other workers. You will have your own bed but must be ok with sleeping in the same room as other coworkers when we are on the road.
This job is perfect for people who are in school and maybe looking to make some extra cash. We go to about 2-3 shows a month as well as have inventory work in town when we are not at shows. We do not have a set schedule for work in town just needs to be completed by deadline we give. Shows can vary depending on show length. Sometimes we are gone for 3-5 days just depends on the show and where its at.
