Me: overworked entrepreneur building multiple businesses and a lot of consulting gigs (have consulted to multi-billion-dollar organizations and currently have clients around the world). And lots of ADHD. I travel internationally 1-2x per month.
You: energetic, positive, dynamic personal assistant who loves challenges and is better organized than me. You smile a lot, but you’re not a nutcase. You’re willing to travel (a perk and a necessity at times) and can handle a variety of tasks. You’re flexible and fun — because my gosh, life is hard enough.
You should be able to talk to a billionaire investor one moment and run to get a Cafe Americano the next, with grace and poise. I’m building some freaking cool stuff, and you’ll be a beneficiary of it if you can handle it.
I will trial you for a little while and see how this goes - 15-20 hours a week at first. But make no mistake, I want someone who can become a full time person (unless you have other stuff going on, I am open to possible part time only if flexibility is there)
The main things I expect from you:
- Character - meaning honesty, integrity. Number 1.
- Curiosity - I work on a lot of stuff so you better be okay with me rambling on about AI, blockchain technology, management of organizations, etc. All I think about is the future, basically.
- Respectful (ie not lewd or drug oriented) social media presence. I work with some high caliber folks, so this is a must, sorry.
- No criminal record.
- Driver’s license.
- Fun - we all have bad days but I expect a positive attitude around every corner.
- Discretion - I will not tolerate a staffer who leaks information or goes behind my back. Just goes back to character, really.
In a perfect world, you’d be able to help with some personal matters related to scheduling, helping me get on track with stuff like exercise, etc. My business and personal life intersect.
I live in the Woodlands area, and we will need to be in frequent contact although I won’t put you in an office (at first). So keep that in mind.
Are you out there? Let’s find out.
Pay starts at roughly $40k/yr equivalent (so just divide if it’s part time). But I want to get this to where you’re making $100,000+ per year. A great secretary is more valuable than gold, and will make life much easier.
