HOLY GHOST: Ghost Cover Band Seeking Members (Houston/Sugar Land)
We're putting together a Ghost cover band called Holy Ghost. The concept: we play Ghost songs with the lyrics rewritten to be aggressively, sincerely holy. It's a parody project. If that doesn't make you laugh, we're probably not your people.
What we have so far:
Bass (me) and a guitarist. A fully rewritten parody of "Square Hammer" called "Square Bible," ready to rehearse and record. A plan to shoot a proof-of-concept music video, and actual money set aside to make it happen.
Who we're looking for:
• A lead singer to play Papa. You already want the robes. Don't pretend you don't.
• A drummer who can keep time to the Devil's music repurposed for the Lord's work.
• Additional guitarist(s). Nameless Ghouls welcome.
• Anyone with theatrical or production skills: costumes, masks, makeup, stage design. If you've got that kind of talent, we want to hear from you even if you don't play an instrument.
Logistics:
I'm in Sugar Land but flexible on rehearsal location around greater Houston. Looking to meet up at least twice a week, evenings and weekends. I have a full-time day job, so this is a nights-and-weekends situation. Serious about the project, not serious about ourselves.
The plan: Record "Square Bible." Shoot a video. See if the internet loses its mind. If it does, there's a whole catalog of Ghost songs waiting to be saved.
Drop me a line with a bit about yourself, what you play, and whether you think the Clergy would approve.
