47 y/o guitarist looking for people to play music with located in or near The Woodlands or Spring.
I’ve played guitar for 40 years now and just moved here from Austin, where I played in many bands and had weekly jams with area musicians. I enjoy some covers (mostly from the grunge era), but what I really enjoy is playing “off the cuff” leads. I know when to play and more importantly.. when not to play. So, looking for other players that can improvise. Drummers, bass players, other guitarists, keyboards, etc..
My influences are wide-ranging, but include typical classic rock icons Jimmy Page, Dickey Betts, Hendrix, SRV, Clapton. Im also very into grunge (so Soundgarden, AIC, PJ, etc), other hard rock, delta blues, Texas blues, 80’s stuff, indie rock, reggae, bluegrass, etc... I play electric and acoustic pretty much equally and have a very decent singing voice. I just started doing some grunge and classic rock hits at area open mics.
