Starting an Emo / Post-Hardcore / Punk Metal Project in Houston (Singe (Houston)

This is not an established band yet. We’re currently two people starting a new original project from the ground up and looking for the right members to help shape the sound from the beginning.
Right now we have: - Lead electric guitarist - Lyricist/songwriter
We’re looking for: - Singer (clean, screams, or both) - Drummer - Bassist - Possibly a rhythm guitarist if the right person comes along
The goal is to build an emo / post-hardcore / punk metal band with emotional lyrics, heavy riffs, melodic hooks, and a strong live energy. Think along the lines of Pierce The Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, The Used, Silverstein, Underoath, Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember, and similar bands.
Since this is a brand-new project, you’d have a real chance to influence the direction of the music rather than just learning parts that are already written. We’re looking for people who want to collaborate, write original songs, rehearse regularly, and eventually record and play shows around Houston.
Ideally you are: - Reliable and easy to communicate with - Interested in writing original music - Open to collaboration and feedback - Serious enough to commit time if the chemistry is right
