Thanks for looking at this beautiful vintage kit! It’s the Ludwig Rocker Standard series from the early 80’s (black & white badge – earlier “pointy” version). The dimensions are the standard 8x12 / 9x13 / 16x16 / 14x22. 4-ply shells on the toms / 6-ply shell on the bass. All the heads except the floor tom bottom are originals!! The bass pedal is also a vintage model Camco – with an original Ludwig beater. The cymbal and hi hat stands are from this series, as well. The snare stand is an upgraded Ludwig model from a few years later. The chrome snare and stool are not Ludwigs, but fit the vintage theme.

Everything has been disassembled and cleaned/restored to the best possible condition. There are hardly any scuffs on the drums, and the hardware is in amazing shape. The wooden hoops show some wear on the finish – I thought about touching up the black paint, but I didn’t want to ruin the vintage look if that’s what you’re after (obviously, they can easily be repainted if desired). The tom mounts originally used flat bolts (and need a wrench to adjust). I replaced those with wing nuts, but will include the original bolts.

The sound is very resonant as-is! Even with worn heads, these really sing!! If you like the wide-open John Bonham or jazz sound, they can definitely do it. With thicker or new heads, these will sound warm and punchy.

This kit is ready to be put to use. It will also be appealing to drum collectors. Please let me know if you have any questions. My intention is to sell these and use the money to help my music students buy equipment. Thanks again for taking a look!!
