This is a vintage 8 string steel console or lap pedal guitar. First of all, I could not find any brand identification on this guitar, so if you know anything about it, the information would be appreciated. I am guessing it is prior to say the mid 1960's as the screws are all slotted versus phillips head. It weighs 12-13 pounds. I see no hardware on the bottom for attaching legs, nor any indication of any pedal attachments. So, I deduce it is a console steel guitar for playing on a table top, but a modern keyboard stand would also work. It has 29 frets, which you don't actually fret, but they are slightly raised. I have done a deep clean on this, as the amount of grim that came off, only after repeated cleaning application. I have removed the tuners and cleaned the tuning poles and gears. I replaced the 1 meg volume pot and it works fine now, just plug into an amp. I restrung with as close to the gauges as I found it, but have not tuned it.
My price is based on multiple internet searches that produced no exact copies, but the prices for these vintage steel guitars seemed to range from the $900s to the $2000s. So I have priced it at half of the low range.
