They have incredible bottom end and bass (they get really, really low and do so accurately) and beautiful open highs and clarity but where they really shine, is pulling those 2 things off while still having such a detailed forward Midrange that makes mixing a lot easier. That's the purpose of 3 way monitors. To have a separate driver handling your midrange, while letting another driver do your bass and the tweeter handle highs.

My 2 cents (Check other reviews) I tested these with a couple different high-end monitors when upgrading from my Sceptres. These won out for the room in this price range and quite a bit higher. They also held their own against the more expensive Barefoots and Focal Trios and really beat the Focal Solos, Adam A8H, and Focal Twin. Check the YouTube reviews and decide for yourself. These for the price entering that high end price range are really hard to beat.
