Not to be confused with the 9 volt version, this Danelectro is a chorus based almost part for part on the Ibanez/Maxon CS-505 chorus. The Dano uses the same BBD MN3007, clock timer mn3101, and similiar/same opamps. The effect? It sounds amazing! With stereo out it really shines! Not too dominant, but also not so subtle as to leave one wanting more depth of the effect. Simple 2 knob construction which creates lush and deep chorus capable of anything from a beautiful slight shimmer to leslie sounds. Again, this can be contributed to the now difficult to find MN3007 bucket brigade chip and the 18v circuit allowing for increased headroom and a fuller sound which invokes the rich classic chorus sounds of a bygone era. Built in China around 1996, there are no effects from that country (which I’m aware of), built half as well as this one anymore. It is built like a tank and the circuit board is very well constructed too. At 1/4 of the price of the CS-505, Chorus junkies, mark my words. These will not be for sale at these prices for long!
