We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal sheets to create parts, equipment, and structures based on blueprints and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will operate fabrication machinery to manufacture, modify, and repair metal products used in industries such as HVAC, aerospace, and construction. This role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications
Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal components to required dimensions
Operate machinery such as shears, press brakes, rollers, laser cutters, plasma cutters, and welding equipment
Perform MIG, TIG, spot welding, or other welding processes as needed
Fabricate, modify, and repair metal products and structural components
Measure and mark dimensions using precision measuring tools
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and tolerance standards
Maintain fabrication equipment and tools in proper working condition
Follow OSHA and company safety regulations at all times
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production deadlines
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
2+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience operating fabrication equipment including shears, press brakes, and laser cutting machines
Welding experience (MIG/TIG preferred)
Strong math, measurement, and layout skills
Knowledge of metal properties and fabrication techniques
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent bending, kneeling, and use of hands and arms
Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Work Environment
Industrial or fabrication shop setting
Exposure to noise, dust, and metal materials
Required use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, etc.)
