We have a client that is in need Electrical & Mechanical Assemblers in Northwest Houston (290 & Telge Rd.)
CONTRACT-HIRE (LONG TERM/W2) - Eligible to be hired on direct after 90 days.
The team will be responsible for troubleshooting, building, and installing generator sets (gensets) operating at 480V, 13A. No Journeyman license is required; however, candidates must be able to read and interpret technical drawings.
Overview
Responsible for performing standard assembly processes, reworks and repairs on manufactured equipment and products. Assembler Level III employees must be able to read blueprints, and drawings as well as be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments. Employee must be able to troubleshoots scenarios to determine the safest and most efficient way to repair a piece of equipment.
Responsibilities
Works under limited to no supervision, performs a variety of assembly operations associated with the manufacturing of e products, small mechanical or electromechanical parts, or equipment housing or large equipment such as engines, engine and PTO drive trains, transmissions, diesel and natural gas generators, control equipment, covers/cowlings, related connecting lines, etc.
Must be able to assemble, which may include fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, and operational testing and other duties.
Performs preventive maintenance, inspects production equipment, and performs minor repairs.
Employees must be able to read blueprints, and drawings as well as be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments.
Tasks include performing manufacturing math calculations, and use of specialized lifting equipment.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and two to ten years related experience.
Working under limited to no supervision, performs a variety of assembly operations associated with the manufacturing of e products, small mechanical or electromechanical parts, or equipment housing or large equipment such as engines, engine and PTO drive trains, transmissions, diesel and natural gas generators, control equipment, covers/cowlings, related connecting lines, etc.
Assembly process may include fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, and operational testing and other duties.

Ability to read blueprints and follow work instructions
Must be proficient in basic hand and power tools
Must be proficient in basic measurement tools (Tape measure, rulers, squares)
Basic understanding of calibration tools. (Torque Wrench)
Min of 5 years of heavy equipment assembly
Physical Activities & Requirements:
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally.
Ability to frequently exert the pound force limits for push/pull 50lb f (no wheels) or 100lb f (wheels).
