We are seeking a dedicated General Labor Unloading Specialist to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently unloading, handling, and organizing incoming shipments to ensure smooth operations within the distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess strong manual handling skills, experience with warehouse equipment, and a commitment to safety standards. Responsibilities
Unload shipments using appropriate heavy equipment such as, pallet jacks, ensuring safe handling at all times.
Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track and document incoming materials.
Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting heavy items and stacking pallets in designated storage areas.
Assist with order picking processes utilizing pickers and other warehouse tools to fulfill shipping orders efficiently.
Support shipping and receiving activities by loading outbound goods onto trucks and verifying shipment accuracy.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to OSHA safety regulations and best practices.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and report maintenance needs promptly.
Handle materials safely during loading and unloading operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Assist in inventory management tasks, including stock rotation and cycle counts.
Experience
Prior experience in warehouse distribution or related logistics environments is highly preferred.
Familiarity with order picking, shipping & receiving procedures, and heavy equipment.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, pallet jacks, and mechanical tools.
Experience with manual handling techniques, OSHA safety standards, and heavy lifting protocols.
Construction or industrial experience involving materials handling is advantageous.
Previous roles involving warehouse supervision or team coordination are a plus.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely while adhering to all safety guidelines.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
