Violin, Viola Lessons (Houston and surrounding areas)

offered in person
offered virtually
I completed the Master of Music Performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in May 2006; and Master of Music Pedagogy at the Moores School of Music (University of Houston) in December 2008.
I have been teaching since 2001 (more than 20 years).

In my opinion, interest in playing the violin, playing technique, and the ability to read music are all equally important.
My teaching approach is to give these the highest priority while striving for the development and improvement of each of my student's musical abilities.

My students have been members of Houston Youth Symphony, Virtuosi of Houston – Young Artists Chamber Orchestra, regional orchestras, and received highest achievements in the Solo Ensemble contests. Some of my former students has completed the Bachelor of Music degree at reputable universities across the country.

My high school students have also been qualified for Texas All-State Symphony Orchestra and Texas All-State Solo-Ensemble Violin Solo Contest. In 2018 one of them was selected as an OUTSTANDING PERFORMERat the Texas All-State Solo-Ensemble Violin Solo Contest, which is only earned by 2% of the solo performers at the contest.

Please visit my websites (http://tonta.studio and https://www.facebook.com/tontastudio/) for more information and performances of my students in the recitals that I organized at least once a year.

I teach in Houston, city of Bellaire, Stafford, and Sugar Land areas.
