I’m looking for a general handyman I can rely on for ongoing, project-based work. This is not a specialist role — I need someone solid at a basic level across multiple trades.
Work type (examples):
• Light carpentry (repairs, decking, framing touch-ups)
• Basic plumbing (minor fixes, installs)
• Basic electrical (running wire, outlets, exterior circuits)
• Lawn and exterior work
• General property maintenance
Example current project:
• Run an outdoor electrical circuit from the breaker panel to the opposite side of a pier-and-beam house (about 50 ft total run, with 40ft under pier and beam access of house).
• Install an outdoor outlet at the base of the house (materials provided).
• Add power hookup to a trailer (RV-style 30A exterior connection).
• Drill access using a hole saw (existing entry point already available).
• Wire into a small trailer sub-panel (I can handle the breaker if needed, I know how to do it just need extra hands).
What I’m looking for:
• Comfortable with basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and exterior work
• Resourceful and able to solve problems on site
• Organized — if you use my tools, you put them back where they belong
• Reliable and punctual — if we schedule, you show up
• Honest about what you can and can’t do
• Trustworthy (this is ongoing access to properties)
Pay & schedule:
• Day rates (paid on time)
• Work is once or multiple times a month, depending on projects
• Solid work leads to long-term, consistent work
What I offer:
• Materials provided
• Clear communication
• On-time payment
• Loyalty to people who do good work and don’t make excuses
To respond, please include:
• Your day rate or hourly rate (but want to pay for 8hrs)
• Brief summary of your experience
• What types of work you’re most comfortable with
• Your availability
If you’re dependable and do quality work, this can turn into a long-term working relationship, if you're not, I will quickly stop working with you. Make sure you dont have an issue getting to Midtown (just south of downtown Houston).
