Description:
This is a physical, fast-paced position that involves continual walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of produce merchandise.
There is often bending & stooping, and kneeling involved. Most packages weigh 10-35 lbs., some up to 55 lbs.
Warehouse Order Puller/Packer will pull inventory products for packaging and create a pallet following proper OSHA & Food Safety Guidelines for shipping/delivery.
Will use a picking slip to pull the correct product. Basic math skills are needed. The ability to read fractions is helpful. Attention to detail is extremely important
Job duties and responsibilities:
• Effectively palletize all merchandise once the entire order is picked
• Identify and communicate all defects/damages during quality checks
• Maintain a clean and orderly freezer/cooler
• Ensure that all activities are carried out within OSHA & FOOD SAFETY policies
• Ability to select orders within a fast-paced environment
• Perform any other duties requested by the warehouse manager
• Stages items correctly for delivery
• Verify and correct any inventory discrepancies
• Putting inventory merchandise on shelves
• Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the
same.
Skills and Abilities:
• Positive attitude, self-motivated and able to work well as a team
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Manual dexterity up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
Qualifications:
• Must be organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
• A driven, hard-working individual with a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to lift to 55 lbs. repetitively without assistance and up to 140 lbs. with assistance
• Knowledge of machines and tools.
• Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish).
