SUMMARY
Responsible for developing and carrying out procedures that effectively control accident and health exposures in the company and minimize OSHA citations.
We are seeking a motivated Safety Technician to support and promote workplace safety across commercial roofing job sites. This position plays a key role in OSHA compliance, employee training, accident prevention, and job site inspections.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct job site safety inspections and identify hazards
• Assist with OSHA compliance, safety policies, and procedures
• Lead toolbox talks, monthly safety meetings, and employee trainings
• Investigate injuries, incidents, and unsafe conditions
• Maintain safety records, reports, and EHS documentation
• Work closely with field management to improve safe work practices
• Travel to job sites as needed
🔹 Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of commercial roofing or construction experience preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
• Valid driver’s license required
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read safety documents, reports, and job specifications
🔹 Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 15–50 lbs regularly
• Comfortable climbing ladders, working at heights, and being outdoors year-round
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, push/pull equipment, and work in physically demanding environments
• Must be able to work around noise, dust, fumes, heat, and cold weather conditions
