General Contractor - Water Tank Rehabilitation & Coating Contractor
Location - Houston, DFW, & Louisiana

Reports to: Owner, Project, and Operations Manager
We are a growing water tank rehabilitation and coating contractor based in the DFW metroplex. We specialize in elevated and ground water storage tank maintenance, coating, systems, including repair services for municipalities across Texas. We're a local, family owned business committed to quality work, safety excellence, and building long term relationships with our clients.
We're seeking a reliable, detailed oriented Field Representative to serve s the eyes and ear of our leadership team across multiple project sites. This is critical role that ensures our projects run safely, efficiently, and to our high standards. You'll work closely with the Owner, Operations Manager, as well as the Project Manager to keep projects on track and compliant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Visits & Inspections
- Conduct weekly site visits to all active projects
- Perform safety inspections and complete weekly safety reports for each site
- Document site conditions, progress, and any issues through daily log reports
- Take photos and notes to track project status and quality
- Identify and report safety hazards, non compliance, or quality concerns immediately
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all crew members are following safety protocols and wearing proper PPE
- Verify that safety equipment (fall protection and etc) is in place and functioning
- Complete and submit weekly safety documentation for each project
- Report safety violations or concerns to Owner and Operations Manager immediately
- Assist with toolbox talks and safety meetings as needed
Logistics & Material Support
- Pick up materials, supplies, and equipment as needed
- Deliver materials to project sites
- Run errands for the Owner (supply pickups, document deliveries, etc)
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for materials availability
- Track and document material deliveries and usage
Communication & Reporting
- Submit daily log reports for each active project
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with Owner, Operations Manager, and Project Manager
- Report project delays, issues, or concerns immediately
- Serve as a liaison between the field crews and office leadership
- Attend weekly project status meetings
Quality Control
- Monitor work quality and adherence to specifications
- Document coating application, surface preparation, and other critical work phases
- Report any quality concerns or deviations from project plans
- Ensure projects are progressing according to schedule
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
✅ Valid Texas Driver License
✅ Reliable transportation to each site
✅ Strong attention to detail and organization skills
✅ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
✅ Comfortable using smartphone/tablet for photos, reports and communication
✅ Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office, photo uploads)
✅ Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
✅ Physically able to walk job sites, climb stairs/ladders, and work outdoors in Texas Weather
✅ Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
✅ Commitment to safety and following protocols
Preferred
✅ 2+ years in construction, industrial maintenance, or related field
✅ Experience with safety inspections or compliance
✅ OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
✅ Experience with water tanks, coating systems, or industrial painting
✅ Familiarity with Houston area roads and navigation
✅ Bilingual (English/Spanish)
✅ Experience with construction documentation or daily logs
✅ CDL (Commercial Driver's License) - helpful not required
WHAT WE OFFER
Compensation
- Competitive salary based on experience ($45,000 - $60,000/ year depending on qualifications)
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Occasional early starts or late finishes depending on project needs
- Minimal weekend work (rare, with advance notice)
- Flexible schedule when visiting multiple sites
