Attach it to any surface and adjust the neck to your liking! Base of lamp is plastic and has a small crack and the lampshade head is metal. The 96” cord makes it versatile to plug in and move to areas of a room. Rocker switch makes it easy on/off of the light. Colored bulbs or various white/golden light bulbs available at Walmart or online shopping. Also, bulbs are available at IKEA. The base has two screw hole openings that can be used to permanently attach to a wall or desk if desired.
