It is completely bound with embossed leather over wood. The rounded, domed top is tufted with buttons in a diamond pattern, creating a cushioned look. The inside is lined with velvet. It appears to be made of brown leather or a similar material, consistent with a vintage or antique box. It features antique brass or other metal accents and a hinged lid.
