We are looking for a new member to become a Full Time OPTICIAN joining our team long term. The right
candidate will be hard working, with great communication skills, able to multitask in a fun and fast paced

About us:
We are a dynamic, privately owned specialty eye care practice in the heart of The Woodlands medical
center. We specialize in Non-Surgical Corneal Molding (Vision Correction), glaucoma, macular
degeneration, anterior segment disease, migraines prevention program and primary eye care. Our practice
is at the fore-front of eye care utilizing state of the art ophthalmic technology. We have a focus on noninvasive
and natural treatment approaches to different eye conditions; besides conventional methods, we
use epigenetics, clinical nutrition, bioenergetics and other alternative protocols proven to be very helpful for
different eye conditions. We have a strong, established patient base and continue to expand. We have 5
staff, including the general manager.

Purpose of the OPTICIAN:
The overall purpose of the OPTICIAN may involve patient care including but not limited to performing
preliminary testing pre-eye exam, frame-styling, spectacle order processing, lens edging in office (training
provided), as well as assisting the front desk with patients sign-in, and check out if required. Cross-training
will be important to help the practice ensure quality of service, efficiency and camaraderie among staff. The
specific personal tasks will be clearly defined at the time of hiring.

BILINGUAL REQUIRED: The right candidate will be proficient in English and Spanish

The right candidate will be
- trained to have strong knowledge of basic eye care procedures, optical services, medical and vision
insurance plans, office policies, systems and protocols.
- able to identify flaws and glitches in patient care from a service stand-point, report and/or correct them
accordingly with the assistance and support of the Director of Office Operations (ADOO) and the doctors.
- Trained to have an understanding of third party insurance plans, verification and effective communication
with patients regarding benefits, co-payments, deductibles, etc. (training will be provided as needed)
- helping with recall projects, verify patients show/confirmations/no show/reschedules.
- help with proper implementation of office rules and plans as laid out by doctors and assistant director.
- able to realize the importance of a patient coming through the door and ensure the best possible flow and
patient experience.
