Cenikor Foundation is a nonprofit organization and one of the largest substance abuse treatment centers in the nation. We are currently seeking a Career Services Manager for our facility in Deer Park, TX.
The Career Services Manager will lead Cenikor client education, workforce development, and work therapy efforts while under the direction of the Facility Director.
Work with Facility Director (FD) to implement a high-functioning career services program into the facility.
Monitor and administer career planning assessments, education treatment plans, GED, TABE and others as needed.
Manage work skill alignment with Vocational Services so as to continue career appropriate positions for clients while in our program.
Assist clients in regaining stability with licensures and certificates necessary to secure adequate employment.
Develop and maintain relationships with key admissions, financial aid representatives, and executive board members at local community colleges, trade schools, and 4-year universities.
Supervise Education Technicians and GED tutors to ensure success with daily/weekly/quarterly performance and goals.
Collaborate with Clinical to provide appropriate documentation for clinical files (i.e. Education Treatment Plans) and Electronic Health Record.
Attend approved targeted networking events, evaluate for future attendance and report results to FD.
Work closely with FD to uphold the core principles of Cenikor’s culture and create a positive working environment for all team members.
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulatory standards as well as Cenikor policies and procedures.
Maintain strict confidentiality on all client and foundation matters and refer questionable issues to your supervisor.
Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the exempt functions as defined in this job description.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
Skills,Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent knowledge of educational assistance systems and services (i.e. FAFSA, scholarships).
Liaison between business partners and clients, as well as clients and treatment team.
Skillful at exercising high level of confidentiality, discretion and judgment.
Keen attention to detail is needed.
Adaptable to change while meeting attainable outcomes.
Cultivate and build beneficial business partner relationships throughout the greater metro area.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to consistently uphold the Core Principles of Cenikor’s Culture with all team members:

Bachelor degree in Social Work, Education, Criminology or other closely related field
Master’s degree preferred
A minimum of 1 year experience working in vocational or educational services field; experience in social work or assisting with former offenders, homeless, or long term unemployment is preferred.
Experience working with local community college system is preferred.
Public speaking experience preferred.
Experience with electronic health record preferred.
Experience with therapeutic community preferred.
LCDC-I preferred, not required
Valid driver’s license required
