Job Description: The NP/PA functions as an advanced practitioner/physician's assistant in providing speciality care for patients in the area of sleep medicine/neurology. Will train with physician.
Specific Job Related Duties: Works independently to full scope of practice with on-site collaborating physician availability for consultation, collaboration, and on-going training and oversight.
Develops a comprehensive plan of care that encompasses evidence-based practice guidelines, practice protocols, for Medicare and other state and federal regulations.
Prescribes appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
Monitors plan of care for cost-effectiveness and the achievement of expected improvements, while openly seeking feedback from patients, significant others, colleagues, allied health, appropriate referrals, and collaborating physician to enhance quality outcomes for the patients.
Documents in a timely manner to ensure all services are accurately accounted for and available for review by the interdisciplinary team.
This is a part-time position 3-4 days per week alternating between our offices in Houston and Cypress.
Current Texas Licensure as NP or PA
Current BLS or ACLS
Current DEA (preferred)
