Boy do I love this Mare! Miss Maple is a 28 year old gorgeous, red dun, tank of a mare. She might not be the tallest, maybe 14.3 but boy is she wide. This girl is thicc. I don’t know too much about her history but I have seen her get down and turn on a dime. She is quick on her feet and cuts like she’s worked with cows. She is dead calm, more woah than go and would be so perfect for a small child or even a beginner that just wants a comfy big gal to ride around on. This is a boss mare and wants to be the dominant one in the herd. She is quick to make another horse move it’s feet.
Miss Maple does not like life in a stall, she will do ok overnight if she has to but she will spin and you can tell she doesn’t like to be in there for long periods. Very easy keeper, just had a feet trim and a vet visit/ vaccines. Farrier said she has big strong healthy feet and the vet was also impressed with how great she’s looking.
I got this mare just as a companion for a lone filly bought, we have another horse now so just putting feelers out to see if anyone might be needing a horse like Maple. I’m happy keeping her here for the rest of her days, just want to see if she might make someone else happy like she does us!
