New, still in package! This is the DIG 2 archeological reconstruction simulation guide published by Interact. The publication is designed to simulate a archeological excavation. It covers methods for recovering and interpreting artifacts from a vanished civilization
About the Simulation. It is a project-based, hands-on archaeological reconstruction activity designed for middle and high school classrooms. Students divide into competing teams to secretly design a hypothetical civilization and build physical artifacts representing its cultural patterns. Teams bury their artifacts according to actual archaeological grid principles. The opposing teams must then carefully excavate, map, restore, and analyze the items to piece together the rules and lifestyle of the vanished civilization. The curriculum heavily emphasizes teamwork, scientific field journaling, cultural anthropology, and analytical thinking. We meet at 3520 Rayford Road in the parking lot of HEB near the gas pumps (Grand Parkway and Rayford Road), cash only.
