Cool little parrots, super friendly, lots of personality.
Hand raised at home by our family, they were/are spoon fed -we do not use syringes. The last two from our first set of babies that hatched in late December are ready to go now. Others are being hand fed now, they get fed three to four times a day, the ones at three times a day are starting to play/munch on food and starting to fly now. They will be ready soon.
The 2 that are weaned are super friendly-they eat pellets, chop, fruit, they love noodles. They have bands on them for identification, they have not been dna tested for sex. We have clipped their primary flight feathers so they cannot fly up to our vaulted windows but they can still fly and get free roam of the up stairs in our house- you will definitely hear about it if they are not let out first thing in the morning to sit in a window ledge for fresh morning air/sunlight.
Raised in a busy home with furry friends- 2 German Shepards. Just including this because they have little fear of our big dogs.
