I am listing my 39 Chevy Deluxe 2 door sedan for sale because I acquired my late brother's 40 Ford -- I do not have time for both vehicles. It is a driver, not a show car -- I drive it at 60mph without any issues.
It is in good shape with power steering and brakes; new brake master cylinder and new brake disk and shoes; front end is a Mustang II with disk brakes; new glass, rubber glass seals, and guides; new running board rubber; aluminum rims and new tires; has a 350 engine and new transmission rebuild; vintage air; operating windshield wipers; directional signals; new carburetor; new chrome bumpers; new starter; interior is in great shape; paint is good with the exception of an issue on the trunk lid (see picture) and a spot on the left running board; rear end is an 11 bolt; tilt steering wheel; radio; good upholstery; VDO gauges. Starts right up.
On the air conditioning, I have replaced all of the green oring seals in the hoses, expansion valve, and high/low pressure cut off switch. I did pull a vacuum on it and it held OK but I did not have freon to charge it at that time. AC needs to be checked out.
I am now spending my time on the 40 Ford and passing the 39 on. Price reduced from $25,000 to $23,000 -- I will allow some rebate to finish the air conditioning and paint touch up. Location is on Kendall Road east of Baytown. Can be driven home. Have a clear Texas title. The car came from Arkansas – the person I purchased it from only had it a few months before he acquired another classic. He had purchased a cover for it which goes with the car. I have kept it inside. See the pictures as they are a part of the listing description. 1000 miles is not correct. I put that in because I had to enter something. Not sure of the mileage on the motor but it has no issues. Odometer shows right at 9,500 miles.
