Pacesetter Personnel Services is hiring a Kitchen Assistant in Houston, TX 77002.
Job Description:
Set up and prepare kitchen, food service, and salad bar areas for daily operations
Operate kitchen and bakery equipment as assigned
Transport food and supplies from the main kitchen to serving areas
Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
Serve food to customers, ensuring correct portions and presentation
Restock serving stations with food, utensils, dishes, and supplies
Clean and maintain kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils (including floors, appliances, and storage areas)
Maintain cleanliness across multiple kitchen spaces (countertops, microwaves, coffee machines, refrigerators, etc.)
Restock coffee stations, bottled water, condiments, and other supplies
Track and report inventory counts to the Food Services Supervisor
Ensure all service areas are clean, stocked, and presentable, including preparation for special events or weekend activities
Job Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.
Valid food handlers license or certification.
Knowledge of kitchen cleaning and maintenance.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal with a variety of people.
Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
Knowledge of food service lines set-up.
Skill in cooking and preparing a variety of foods.
Must be open to working weekends.
Schedule:
Monday- Sunday if needed
30-40 hours weekly.
Start time 8 am
Pay: $14.00 hourly, we pay weekly.
