Seeking a personal assistant/companion and caregiver for my mother. She has to use a electric wheelchair or walker to get around. She likes to go to Bible study on Wednesdays at noon and Church on Sunday mornings 10am service, shopping, garage sales and Thrift stores on her good days. Most days she stays in bed all day long and will ask you to run errands to the cleaner, grocery store, pharmacy and food runs. She usually has an appointment once a week.
She needs help getting dressed, getting in and out of the car to her wheelchair and someone who can drive her to appointments. You must know how to use GPS. Her memory is not what it use to be but most of her appointment are in the area. Must be able to lift her foldable wheelchair in and out of the car. It's about 30lbs.
You will need to prepare her meals, clean up afterward meal prep, change her bed linen weekly, do her laundry and clean her bathroom. These are the basic requirements. Please be familiar with using your cell phone/computer to order things, GPS, scheduling appointments and able to communicate with providers during her appointments.
This is a Live-in position (not negotiable) working 9- 7pm M - Friday with a 3 hour break during the shift. Private furnished room, shared bathroom with one female on the opposite side of the house, cable tv, w/d everything incl plus a weekly stipend. Must have patience to work with the elderly.
