Job Description
Herman Packaging is seeking an experienced customer service representative in Houston to take and process customer orders and provide support to sales staff with a happy, friendly attitude. Associates will work closely with our customers to provide a positive experience to drive our business with the ability to work independently and get along well with others.
· Process purchase orders
· Manage and maintain inventory levels
· Maintain customer files; recording and notifying the team of customer order changes
· Assist sales staff as needed on customer accounts
· Run appropriate reports as needed and review for correctness
· Communicate with production to avoid issues between plant and customer
· Handle customer questions and follow up with production/shipping when needed
Requirements
· Minimum three years customer service experience; Experience within corrugated is preferred
· High School Diploma
· Proficiency in Word, Excel and basic office machinery (phones, printers, copiers)
· Report to work on time, in clean and company dress code including personal appearance and grooming must conform to our customer service standards
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Must have excellent time-management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent crisis manager with a high emotional control under adverse conditions and can find a successful solution to a problem.
· Communicate with customers and staff in a professional and friendly manner
