We are a chemical company located in the Energy Corridor in Houston, Texas (i-10 between Dairy Ashford and Kirkwood). We are responsible for the sales of industrial products to refineries, gas processors, and more. We are looking to fill a Customer Service position that is ideal for someone looking to grow and develop into a sales role. This position will place you as the first point of contact for customers, which will provide you with experience in our industry while gaining knowledge of technical details, industry trends, and developing points of contact. As you gain experience and confidence in this Customer Service position, you will also be cross trained into sales with the intent of graduating to a full time sales position.

Initially, the job will involve:
- answering phone calls
- responding to emails
- assisting customers with order fulfillment
- logistics for shipping and receiving inventory
- sending out credit references and establishing new customer profiles
- entering sales orders and invoicing
- creating and sending out shipping documents
- collecting payments and making collection calls

You will be trained for a Sales Support role that will include:
- keeping track of sales quotes
- prequalifying sales leads
- using a CRM to track customer activity
- identifying leads and exploring sales opportunities
- contacting potential customers

As you progress, you will also be working alongside the Marketing Team, where you will both support one another towards growing brand awareness and sales
- social media efforts
- blog writing and moderating
- requesting and reviewing marketing material

This position will require:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher strongly preferred, equivalent will be considered
- eligibility to work in the US
- developing skills to use QuickBooks and a CRM
- knowledge of sending and receiving emails on Outlook
- skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- occasional traveling, which should be expected to increase as you progress on your career path towards a sales role
- regular attendance in the office M-F, work hours 9am-5pm (one hour lunch break taken at your convenience)
