Looking for a volunteer with experience as programmer with MS Access and solid VBA stills to adapt an existing app that ran for 10 years at another nonprofit to this nonprofit. We are a 501(c)(3) and provide medical assistance to adult women. The project involves three parts:
1) convert existing data downloads from a government web site that will run scheduled nightly. The changes needed are to change the user name and password and download specifications - 5 fields. approximately 10 types of downloads are run nightly for each of several "client service locations". All is written in Access VBA and has been run for multiple years and stable.
2) adapt an existing Access based reporting system to allow ad hoc reporting using an opensource reporting tool, also in MS Access. Most of the work involves training staff on use of the report writer and defining new "data sources". These data sources are Queries that form the basis of a report where the user can select desired fields and run listings and total type reports.
3) Ongoing monitoring of the system and taking action when downloads do not run properly. This may involve contact with State agency technical support and creating special "catch up" downloads to obtain the missed data.
