I am looking for an experienced arcade technician or hobbyist in the Houston area to help finish the wiring on a custom cabinet.
The Setup:
System: PC-based mini-tower running inside a cabinet.
Interface: Using a Green JAMMA/60-in-1 style interface board to bridge the controls to the PC motherboard.
The Problem: I am having trouble correctly pinning out the joysticks and trackball to the motherboard’s USB headers (FP-USB1). I have several harnesses/cables, but I cannot get the PC to recognize the inputs, and I’ve run into power-shorting issues when trying to guess the pin orientation.
What I need:
Correctly identify the pin-out for the trackball (6-pin JP3B) and Joysticks (2-pin JP7) to the motherboard.
Ensure the wiring is safe and not shorting the PSU.
Verify that the inputs are recognized by the PC.
I have the unit pulled out and accessible. If you are a builder or have experience with custom MAME/JAMMA setups, please reach out with your rates and availability.
