Hours: 9a-5:30p M-F.

Main Responsibilities:
• Inspection and Testing:
o Conduct thorough inspections of packaging and finished goods to ensure
adherence to quality standards.
o Collaborate with production teams to obtain samples for regular quality tests.
o Use various instruments and equipment to perform quality control tests.
• Documentation:
o Maintain detailed records of QC tests, results, and inspections.
o Report any deviations from standards to the QC Manager and recommend
corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement:
o Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to refine QC processes.
o Contribute insights from inspections and tests to inform potential improvements
in production and packaging processes.
• Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with the production, packaging, and warehousing teams to
address and resolve quality issues.
o Communicate feedback from customer complaints and returns to relevant
departments.
• Equipment Maintenance:
o Ensure that all QC equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly.
o Report any malfunctions and coordinate with the maintenance team for
repairs.
Skillset/Competencies:
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot minor deviations in product quality and packaging.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with QC equipment and tools, as well as basic
knowledge of skincare product properties.
• Data Analysis: Ability to interpret QC data, recognize patterns, and make
recommendations.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate findings, concerns, and
suggestions to various teams and stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and think critically about potential solutions.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and
maintain detailed records.
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with different departments and contribute
positively to team dynamics.

Experience and Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Chemistry,
Biology, or Quality Management is preferred.
• Prior Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a QC role, preferably in the skincare or
cosmetics industry.
• Knowledge of Industry Standards: Familiarity with skincare product standards and
regulations is beneficial.
• Technical Training: Experience with specific QC instruments, software, or
methodologies is a plus.
Recommended Training & Certifications:
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Essential for ensuring products, including their
packaging, are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards.
• ISO 9001: Quality Management Systems: Provides a QC associate with an
understanding of quality standards and continuous improvement processes tailored
towards product and packaging consistency.
• Internal Auditor Training: Equips associates to audit internal quality systems, ensuring
that packaging standards are maintained consistently.
• Instrumentation and Calibration: Packaging QC often involves testing equipment like
tensile testers, torque testers, etc. Proper use and calibration of these tools are vital for
accurate results.
• Root Cause Analysis: Helps identify the underlying causes of quality issues, especially
useful when defects or inconsistencies in packaging arise.
• Printing and Labeling Standards: Covers best practices and standards for ensuring
labels are applied correctly, are legible, and do not fade or peel easily.
• Packaging Integrity and Barrier Testing: Provides skills to ensure that packaging properly
protects its contents from external factors like moisture, light, or contaminants.
• Shelf Life Testing and Stability: Training focused on determining how long packaged
products retain their desired qualities under various storage conditions.
• Drop, Shock, and Vibration Testing: Especially relevant for finished goods, this training
ensures packages can withstand transportation and handling without damage.
