Verimation's Verimet® N7700 Eddy Current Tester, is a micro-processor-based eddy current instrument for heat verification, alloy sorting, hardness inspection and case depth testing of ferrous metal parts. Versatile and accurate, it offers improved capabilities for a wide range of applications. The instrument is compact, lightweight and battery equipped, so it is very easy to use.
Applications:
Originally designed for the automotive industries, the Verimet® N7700 effectively tests parts whenever material grade and heat treatment are critical to product integrity. A spot probe or encircling coil can be used depending on the application. The feasibility of performing a successful sort can be determined in minutes without extensive training or time-consuming tests.
Features and Benefits:
Learn Mode: - From a small number of accepted/rejected parts tested, the instrument will automatically select the optimum test frequency, test method (phase or amplitude) and sort limits for testing.
Highly Portable: - The lightweight (6 lbs.) design of the Verimet® N7700 makes on location testing of large, bulky or difficult to move parts very simple.
Statistics:- Built-in SPC capability is enhanced by the ability to download data in memory to floppy disks, hard drives or monitors for further analysis.
Dual Power Supply:- A single battery charge permits up to 8 hours of continuous operation. An internal charging circuit is provided, along with an AC adapter for in-place testing. Line voltages can easily be changed from 110 VAC to 220 VAC.
Memory Storage:- Up to 10 individual test part set-ups can be stored and retrieved for rapid changeover from one part to another. Easily stores up to 1,000 test data sets.
Versatile Testing:- The Verimet® N7700 tests any size part from small-diameter needle bearings to huge tank turret bearing journals. Standard connectors allow quick changeover from probes to coils.
