I was doing some picking in rural Texas when I came across a small town that had a resale shop a few streets over from Main Street. I could tell the place didn’t get a lot of foot traffic because of its location. Out of everything in the place, this Hoist stood out to me. Because of some of the other items I saw in the shop, this hoist probably comes from the cotton industry dating back to some time ago. This was most likely used for lifting large heavy bails of cotton. These are one of my more favorite picks over time, I’m tempted to keep it myself but as a reseller, I have to be careful about hoarding antiques.
