<b> PeopleSoft Database Administrator </b><br>
<br>
SCOPE:<br>
Under minimal supervision, implements, maintains, and resolves problems with Server databases. Oversees access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. Maintains database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish goals.  Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.<br>
<br>
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>
- Designs and implements databases and maintains database dictionaries. Ensures documentation is complete and up-to-date.<br>
- Develops and applies procedures relating to database and application security including all access procedures.  Regularly reviews and changes access authorizations and verifies that unauthorized persons cannot access applications and data.<br>
- Develops, monitors and enforces flexible, non-restrictive standards for all database platforms. Monitors and tunes database subsystems on all platforms to ensure optimum performance.<br>
- Provides technical guidance to IT personnel in the investigation, analysis, and resolution of database problems.<br>
- Defines and designs logical and physical relational data structures, which requires interviewing users and understanding their data usage requirements and needs, as well as working with applications programming.<br>
- Monitors access time, performs validation checks, and uses other methods to monitor and analyze database performance. Utilizes appropriate measures to ensure acceptable performance, including changing device allocations and file size, building indices, reorganizing tables and purging data. Ensures databases will support growth, change, and access demands.<br>
- Develops and applies procedures for periodic database backup. Determines backup method and frequency. Ensures that databases can be restored quickly and completely from backup files.<br>
- Develops recovery plans to provide an adequate level of protection in the event of database problems.<br>
- Participates in the evaluation, design or acquisition, and implementation of enhancements to business applications.<br>
- Performs analysis, feasibility studies and vendor comparisons leading to the acquisition of database-related products, including database monitors, utilities, query tools, and connectivity solutions.<br>
- Develops and maintains a schedule and associated budget for all assigned product and services.<br>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<br>
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related discipline with minimum five years client/server experience and/or training in PeopleSoft database administration and development.  <br>

<description><![CDATA[Long-term contract opportunity for <font color="blue">ARCHITECT-LEVEL C# DEVELOPER</font>.  Will be responsible for new development relevant to the Oil/Gas Trading industry.  Any <font color="blue">ENERGY TRADING</font> experience a plus!<br>
Required skills/experience:<br>
<ul><li>5-10 years of experience in C# Development with an architect-level proficiency</li><br>
    <li>programming experience with .Net, SQL, Crystal Reports, and ERP system integration tools</li><br>
    <li>object-oriented development experience with design pattern knowledge</li><br>
    <li>RDBMS development (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, etc)</li><br>
    <li>UML class model design</li><br>
    <li>.Net XML serialization experience</li><br>
    <li>Hibernate or nHibernate mapping development</li><br>
    <li>experience with distributed caching system</li><br>
    <li>nunit, ndoc, fxcop, nant</li><br>
    <li>ILog rules engine</li><br>
    <li>familiarity with remote procedure invocation (remoting, RMI, CORBA, etc)</li></ul><br>

Required Skills: <br>
- 8+ years experience designing, coding, debugging, and unit testing code for commercial grade software applications. <br>
- 5+ years of experience using C++ <br>
- 5+ years experience in developing server-side software for UNIX/Linux operating systems where performance and scalability are critical constraints. <br>
- 5+ years experience using software engineering tools for version control, defect tracking, and code compilation. <br>
<br>
Desired Skills (the following "bonus" skills are not necessary for the candidate to possess, however candidates with bonus skills will be given preference over candidates without bonus skills): <br>
- Experience with mathematical computation algorithms such as artif
