Zombies, herumwandelnde untote Leichen auf der Suche nach ihrer Nahrung, warmem Menschenfleisch, ziehen durchs Land und bevölkern die Straßen der Städte. Ein Biss von ihnen führt rasch zum Tode, und alle Toten erheben sich ebenfalls wieder als Zombies. Unter den noch lebenden Menschen herrscht zunehmend Chaos. Gesetzlose plündern und morden. Das Kriegsrecht wird ausgerufen. Eine wirksame Strategie gegen die Zombies gibt es nicht, weil sich viele aus ethischen Gründen den Notmaßnahmen widersetzen. Polizei und Armee gehen mit aller Härte gegen die zügellose Gewalt vor, während immer mehr Menschen ohne Rücksicht auf andere versuchen, einfach nur noch ihr Leben zu retten.
Stephen Andrews, Hubschrauber-fliegender Verkehrsberichterstatter des Fernsehsenders WGON TV, seine schwangere Freundin Francine Parker, Mitarbeiterin desselben Fernsehsenders, und zwei Beamte eines SWAT-Teams, Roger DeMarco und Peter Washington, flüchten gemeinsam in einem Helikopter. Auf ihrer Flucht landen sie bei einem Zwischenstopp auf dem Dach eines verlassenen Einkaufszentrums.
Dabei erkennen sie schnell die strategisch günstige Lage des Gebäudes mit dessen zahlreichen Vorräten und unbewachten Geschäften. Sie verbarrikadieren sich im Innern des Einkaufszentrums und töten die darin umherirrenden Untoten endgültig, indem sie ihre Gehirne durch einen Kopfschuss zerstören. Die Leichname schaffen sie in einen Kühlraum des Einkaufszentrums. Als ihnen das Gebäude sicher genug erscheint, richten sie sich im Einkaufszentrum häuslich ein und versorgen sich aus den Geschäften mit allen nötigen Waren. Über Fernsehen und Radio werden sie Zeugen der fortschreitenden Ausrottung der Menschheit, bis schließlich auch die letzten Medien den Sendebetrieb einstellen.
Beim Sichern der Außentüren wird Roger von Zombies gebissen. Er stirbt wenige Tage später und muss von seinem Freund Peter in dem Moment, als er sich als Zombie erneut erhebt, durch einen Kopfschuss endgültig zerstört werden.
Etwa drei Monate später[2] wird das Einkaufszentrum von einer Rockerbande gestürmt und geplündert. Die Gruppe ist zunächst unschlüssig, ob das Einkaufszentrum mit den Marodeuren geteilt oder gegen sie verteidigt werden soll. Sie beschließen schließlich, schnell alle Türen zu den Geschäften zu verschließen und sich danach zu verstecken, bis die Rocker wieder verschwunden sind. Als Stephen beobachtet, wie die Bande trotzdem ohne große Probleme in die Geschäfte eindringt, entschließt er sich doch dazu, auf sie zu schießen, wird selbst verwundet und schließlich von Zombies angefallen. Auch er verwandelt sich daraufhin in einen Untoten und führt danach eine große Gruppe Zombies zum Versteck seiner ehemaligen Gefährten. Sezon 1995/1996 by&#322; równie&#380; popisem strzeleckim Marka Koniarka, który zdoby&#322; tytu&#322; króla strzelców ekstraklasy, strzelaj&#261;c 29 bramek. W sezonie 1996/1997 wzmocniona dru&#380;yna Widzewa przyst&#261;pi&#322;a do eliminacji Ligi Mistrzów, w których niespodziewanie wyeliminowa&#322;a faworyzowan&#261; dru&#380;yn&#281; Mistrzów Danii Brøndby IF. Widzew znalaz&#322; si&#281; w silnie obsadzonej grupie, razem z Atlético Madryt, Borussi&#261; Dortmund oraz Steau&#261; Bukareszt. Smudzie nie uda&#322;o si&#281; jednak poprowadzi&#263; swojej dru&#380;yny do awansu, a Widzew zako&#324;czy&#322; udzia&#322; w Lidze Mistrzów na trzecim miejscu w grupie. &#321;ódzkim pi&#322;karzom uda&#322;o si&#281; jednak powtórzy&#263; wyczyn sprzed roku i ponownie si&#281;gn&#261;&#263; po tytu&#322; Mistrza Polski. Wraz z odej&#347;ciem kilku czo&#322;owych graczy i odpadni&#281;ciem w eliminacjach Ligi Mistrzów w nowym sezonie rozpocz&#261;&#322; si&#281; kryzys &#322;ódzkiej dru&#380;yny. Smuda jeszcze pod koniec sezonu 1997/98 zapewni&#322; sobie posad&#281; szkoleniowca Wis&#322;y Kraków. Jako trener krakowskiej Wis&#322;y Smuda zdoby&#322; kolejny tytu&#322; Mistrza Polski. Niestety Wis&#322;a zosta&#322;a wy&#322;&#261;czona przez UEFA z udzia&#322;u w europejskich rozgrywkach w ramach kary za zranienie no&#380;em przez kibica "Mi&#347;ka" w meczu Pucharu UEFA z AC Parma w&#322;oskiego zawodnika Dino Baggio. Project Synopsis<br>

Starpointe Business Park is a Washington County Council on Economic Development project that consists of 1,153 acres of land.  The property is situated at the intersection of State Routes 22 and 18 in Hanover Township.  This intersection is commonly recognized as the location of the Post-Gazette Pavilion and Amphitheatre.<br>
<br>
Phase I of Starpointe consists of the subdivision of 148 acres.  Starpointe’s strategic location, building-ready parcels, inexpensive land costs, and financial incentive programs offered by a strongly pro-business and competitively taxed County of Washington make this project the obvious location for manufacturing, research and development, and office users.<br>

Location<br>
<br>
Starpointe is now uniquely positioned to take advantage of the new Findlay Connector of the Southern Beltway, which is part of the Mon Fayette Expressway project.  The Findlay Connector connects Starpointe to Interstate 376.  It improves access and east-west mobility between the Mon Fayette Expressway near Finleyville and the PA Route 60 Expressway at the Pittsburgh International Airport.  Transportation time to the Pittsburgh International Airport is approximately ten minutes from the Park.<br>

Starpointe is also less than ten miles from Weirton, West Virginia and less than fourteen miles from Steubenville, Ohio.  Downtown Pittsburgh is approximately twenty-five miles away.”<br>

Current users of the park include Lanxess Corporation, a subsidiary of Bayer which produces paint pigments; Volvo Rents, supplier of construction rental equipment; and Miller Plastics, producer of precision plastic products.  <br>

Incentive Programs<br>
<br>
Several programs are available at Starpointe to assist buyers.  The Local Economic Revitalization Assistance Act (LERTA) allows WCCED to extend a tax-free period to businesses locating into the Park.  This program has been established to encourage economic development and community growth.  <br>
<br>
Starpointe users enjoy the benefit of a five year tax exemption on owner improvements to lots sold within the Park.  This designation has been granted by Hanover Township, Washington County and the Burgettstown School District.<br>
<br>
To take part in the benefits provided by LERTA, property owners and potential buyers must keep the following in mind:<br>
<br>
•	LERTA tax exemption applies only to local taxing entities;<br>
•	LERTA tax exemption applies only to improvements to the land, not to the land itself which is still subject to the standard tax rates and terms;<br>
•	Entities wishing to take advantage of the LERTA tax exemption at the Park inform the local taxing authority upon completion of improvement;<br>
•	LERTA tax exemption does not apply from the first day of property ownership, but rather when the applicant receives its occupancy permit;<br>
•	The local taxation bodies have the right to establish a maximum cost per unit to be exempted;<br>
•	Notification of improvements completion for LERTA tax exemption is the responsibility of the property owner, not of WCCED, its partners or subsidiaries.<br>
<br>
SBA Microloan Program<br>
<br>
WCCED offers this program to provide commercial loans from $1000 to $35,000 to encourage job creation and growth/expansion of small businesses.  The program provides financing at a fixed interest rate which is currently six percent.  Eligible uses of the financing include working capital, purchase of inventory, and the purchase of equipment. CDFI-TECH 21 Loan Fund<br>

WCCED also offers the CDFI-Tech 21 Loan Program which provides commercial loans up to $100,000.  The purpose of this financing is to encourage the creation and growth of firms engaged in manufacturing, advanced materials, biotechnology, infotech, and environmental technologies.  The program provides secondary financing, up to forty percent of the total project costs, not to exceed $100,000.  Loans are provided at an interest rate of six percent for a term not to exceed ten years.  The term of the loan is determined by the life of the asset or type of transaction financed.  This program subordinates security to the participating bank.<br>
<br>
Eligible uses of the financing include: working capital; purchase of inventory; purchase order financing; acquisition of fixed assets; business acquisition; real estate acquisition; construction: repair or modernization; or leasehold improvements.  Borrowers must demonstrate job creation potential and agree to place low-income qualified residents in thirty percent of all positions created under the TECH 21 Loan Program.
