3.	Responsible for matching volunteers to TR clients as requested.<br>
4.	Responsible for all TR volunteer training and associated activities.<br>
5.	Responsible for ensuring that all volunteer logs and required forms are maintained and up-to-date.<br>
6.	Works with other SASS departments and volunteers to coordinate volunteer programs such as Hurricane Preparedness Kits and Holiday Kits.<br>
7.	Responsible for coordinating and participating in other volunteer activities, fairs, speaking events and tours as needed.<br>
8.	Responsible for maintaining and updating the SASS website volunteer services information.<br>
9.	Develops, updates and maintains all TR/Volunteer services marketing and collateral materials.<br>
10.	Performs other duties as assigned.<br>
<br>
Housing and Energy Management<br>
1.	Assists the VP HEM and HEM Contract Manager with projects and programs as necessary.<br>
2.	Responsible for ensuring that the HEM portion of the SASS website is up-to-date and inclusive of materials that will assist clients in accessing utility assistance and weatherization programs.<br>
3.	Responsible for assisting in any direct mail or advertising as requested by HEM.<br>
4.	Assists the VP and HEM Contract Manager in developing, maintaining and distributing department internal communication including department standards and policies.<br>
5.	Assists with division procurement as necessary.<br>
6.	Performs other duties as assigned.<br>
<br>
QUALIFICATIONS:<br>
1)	Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration or closely related field, or minimum of three years experience in the social services field.<br>
2)	Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint<br>
3)	Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br>
4)	Working knowledge of computer software applications (word processing, spreadsheet, and database).<br>
5)	Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.<br>

We have been in business providing services to our own properties and to 3rd party property management companies since 1966. We currently provide Resident Service programs to 167 family and elderly community centers throughout the State of Texas and beyond.

This particular contract agreement with the apartment community owner is to provide Resident Services for 65 hours per month. This position is ideal for candidates who are seeking flexible, part time hours, candidates who desire to use creative planning and community networking daily, and candidates who like to see the fruit of their labor!

We are seeking an experienced Activity Coordinator for a family community in the Hitchcock area. Please, note, this is a part-time position, $15/hr. Although the majority of our focus is on providing the children of the property with recreational and educational activities, it is also our mission to adhere to the needs of the teens, adults and seniors as well. Activity Coordinators typically offer homework/tutoring assistance, computer classes, arts and crafts, recreation and they also contact outside agencies to come in as guest speakers to address hot topics such as credit counseling, domestic violence, homebuyers programs, boy scouts, girl scouts, crime prevention, etc. While the one-on-one services are primarily offered, the Activity Coordinator should be prepared to refer residents to other agencies for further assistance when necessary. Our five target categories of services are: Educational Skills, Family Development, Health and Nutrition, Neighborhood Pride and Leadership and Fun and Freedom Activities. Based on the needs of the community, Activity Coordinators are responsible for every aspect of creating a well-rounded and enriching program. JOB SUMMARY:<br>
Provide substance abuse treatment and services to ensure that each offender develops the skills necessary to live a life free from substance dependence.  Counselor will be able to work with both Regular and Special Needs offenders in providing individualized treatment to female offender population.<br>

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<br>

1. Complete comprehensive initial offender assessment within specified timeframe. <br>
2. Work with offenders to develop and implement an individualized, written treatment plan within ten (10) service days of entry into SAFP/IPTC program.<br>
3. Identify and assist in implementing any and/or all treatment services necessary to address offender problems and needs identified in the assessment, including those offenders identified as Special Needs.<br>
4. Provide individual counseling services to each offender at least once a month, to include modifying written treatment plan as needed to address ongoing or newly identified treatment problems. <br>
5. Conduct educational, encounter, and counseling/ process group sessions daily or as required.  <br>
6. Complete offender progress assessment (Treatment Plan Review) 30 days after offender admission, and a minimum of every 30 days thereafter to assist program staff in monitoring offender progress.<br>
7. Maintain stated caseload to include delivery of all required services in the required timeframe.  <br>
8. Provide guidance and encouragement to offenders in treatment; evaluate and record offender progress in the clinical record, ensuring documentation is legible and complies with applicable standards. <br>
9. Assist Clinical Supervisor in the on-site supervision and training of Counselor Interns, as applicable.<br>
10. Work in conjunction with offender’s family, significant other, or other identified individual or organization to assist offender in receiving optimum treatment services.<br>
11. Work in conjunction with Treatment Team members to facilitate an optimum environment for offender recovery. <br>
12. Complete offender discharge summary 3 working days prior to actual date of discharge from the program.<br>
13. Complete monthly judicial reports accurately and submit monthly to appropriate staff designee.<br>

Maintain the primary relationship with the Executive Board and the membership.  Advise and assist the Secretary-Treasurer in preparing and monitoring the annual budget. Administer the budget adopted by the Executive Board and execute financial transactions and operations according to the policies of the Executive Board.  Direct the day to day administrative and financial operations of the Local.  Communicate with AFSCME and SEIU International Unions in matters related to the status of the Local and its membership.  Maintain effective and appropriate relationships with partner organizations and people such as other labor unions, government leaders and coalitions.<br>
REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelors Degree from an accredited college in labor relations, public or business administration, or related field preferred.  Year of experience can be substituted for ecucation requirement.  The following knowledge, skills, experience and abilities are preferred:<br>
5-10 years experience preferred in similarly sized and complex organization with a significant background in management of a similar sized staff and staff leadership/organizational development.  Experience in political and legislative affairs and public relations.  Leadership in a membership-driven organization desirable.  Coalition-building skills.  Experience dealing with operational issues, includng staffing and budgeting for campaigns and/or projects.  Experience exercising financial controls to spend in accordance with a budget.  Commitment to serving the Board, membership and the vision of the organization.  Should be able to think strategically and to develop plans that meet strategic objectives.  Ability to envision long-range ramifications of decisions.  Must be able to exercise a high degree of judgment.  Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure and meet tight deadline conditions.  Must be committed to social justice. JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS: Experience in the preparation of  applications for grants and expediting the grant requirements. Government grant experience is required.<br>
<br>
TIME REQUIREMENT: Part time, probably threes days per week or 24 hours per week.<br>
<br>
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>
Provide organized research and compilation of data as required by those preparing grant  applications.  Review all grant applications for accuracy and completeness before submission.<br>
<br>
Establish and maintain a data entry system to provide required data information for grants and a system to monitor grant timelines to ensure that programs are meeting planned goals and objectives. <br>
<br>
Maintain a current master list of all Grant applications and proposals indicating the status of such applications as to whether approved, pending, rejected, or if additional data is required.  The Master list shall be submitted monthly to the Board of Directors and to staff management.  Ensure that approved grants are funded in a timely manner.<br>
<br>
Ensure compliance of all approved grant  programs with submission of monthly, quarterly or annual grant compliance reports in a timely manner.<br>
<br>
Work with program Directors and Staff to identify and address programmatic or administrative barriers to grant performance.<br>
<br>
For grants that have a maximum allowable line-item expense budget, maintain records that reflect the amounts that have been expended for each line-item and the amount remaining. Where the line-item expense is listed in more than one grant, maintain records that avoid exceeding the allowable combined expenses of all approved grants and/or new applications.<br>
<br>
For grants that require “matching funds”, maintain records and reports that reflect the matching fund amount by Donor name or event; the amount that has been received from each matching fund Donor or event; and remaining amount due.  Avoid, if possible, listing the same donor or event in more than one grant for “matching fund” purposes.<br>

The recruiter (part time) will be expected to approach a minimum 30 sponsorship candidates a week (estimated on a 20 hour work week) in their assigned territory. Filing of paperwork will take no more than 2 or 3 hours a week. Almost all paperwork will be over the internet.<br>
•Successful Candidate:	The successful candidate will be organized, articulate, of professional appearance and self motivated. The candidate must have a substantial interest in the education of our youth. <br>
•Minimum Requirements: The successful candidate must be somewhat computer literate, have a computer, a good printer and access to the internet. Reliable transportation is a must; we require proof of automotive insurance. <br>
