Hello,
I am in the process of creating a new company website. Problem is, our staff does not have the skills required to make a nice, small banner, as well one very important graphic we need at the top of our website.
The idea seems easy enough, the skills are just not available.
This graphic I am talking about is extremely important towards the design of the web page.
Try to picture this: A rectangular blank box, 400x100 pixels seems to look perfect, with a glow effect around it. On the top left and right corners of this box (which will eventually be replaced with different "banners") will have 2 spotlights shining on the banner. So you'll see the glow shining down onto the banner, but it will never actually cross over onto the banner itself (or can it with a layering effect in Photoshop?) Again, there will be a glow effect surrounding this banner. The meat of the web site is something I can handle on my own - the content inside the page's frame.
The banner we have on our website is nice now, but it is WAY too big. We used it just as a sample banner. I also don't like the TEXT GREETING of the website. A company should have a logo and a professional banner, not a text header.
