SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment.
2. Analyzes shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
3. Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving to storage and work areas.
4. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assigns duties.
5. Plans layout of warehouse
6. Studies records and recommends actions for reported non-usable, slow moving and excess stock.
7. Reviews inventory records for accuracy of information and compliance to established procedures.
8. Responsible for meeting schedule, cost, quality, safety and customer satisfaction goals.
9. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
10. Maintains use of employees time and production records.
11. Confers with other managers to coordinate activities of individual departments.
12. Responsible for training and evaluating subordinates to optimize their performance and their personal and professional growth.
13. Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
14. Enforces safety regulations and facility work rules.
15. As necessary: Performs activities as required to meet daily deadlines and goals

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
SKILL:
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and interaction with co-workers and subordinates
are essential
* Strong working knowledge of personal computers and related software, i.e., Microsoft Office including
Word, Excel and Outlook and experience with JD Edwards software preferred
* Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, demands and priorities comfortably
* Detail orientated with a high degree of accuracy in all transactions

EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE:
* High School Diploma, degree is desired
* Hands on type manager that is willing to take on load and unload responsible
* Must be forklift licensed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively; visual acuity to process paperwork; must be able to stand for long periods of time.
