2nd Annual �Adopt A Family For Christmas�

Visions of Rose Outreach Ministries are holding its 2nd Annual �Adopt A Family For Christmas� for low-income families. We need sponsors with big hearts to assist us in making this a huge success. Sponsors can be, but not limited to individuals, churches, organizations and businesses. In the event one of the above becomes a sponsor, a request of at least three gifts per child is requested. The children being sponsored are from the following agencies/areas: MHMRA (Mental Health Mental Retardation Association), CPS (Children Protective Services), and needy families from the Houston and surrounding areas. Some families consist of multiple children, so please be specific as to how many children you are willing to sponsor, so the Ministry can make the appropriate match based on your desired range. A wish list is available for each child and it has been made known to every family that there is no guarantee each child will receive what is specifically asked for on their list, however we will try to come as close to it as we possibly can.

Gift Giving Deadline:
To insure that each child has gifts and that no child is left out, all gifts are due on
Saturday, December 5th 2009.

Gift Distribution:
Our distribution date will be on Saturday, December 19th 2009. There will be a program in place to hand out the gifts to the children and it will be at that time all sponsors will have the opportunity to present the family/families with the gifts they purchased. The sponsors will be given the opportunity to distribute literature and/or business cards during the program to advertise their business if they chose to do so. This is one of the Ministries ways of saying thank you for your participation. Sponsors will be notified by letter or phone as to where and what time the program will take place.

This book recounts the harrowing tragic event that permanently altered my future. After finishing my work day I was driving home in my 2001 Plymouth Neon. I momentarily adverted my eyes to make sure that my ashes from my cigarette made their way into the ashtray. When I refocused my eyes on the road I emmediatly noticed the vehicle sharing my lane had come to a complete stop while a car in the other lane was directly beside me. Slamming on the brakes, I was unable to avoid the ensuing horrific crash which nearly killed me.

At the Historic Liendo Plantation in Hempstead Texas.

Liendo Plantation was built in 1853. Originally a Spanish land grant of 67,000 acres and one of Texas' earliest cotton plantations. Liendo was the social center of Texas receiving and lavishly entertaining early Texas dignitaries and notorieties. Liendo is recognized as a Texas historic landmark, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was also the home of world-renowned sculptor Elizabet Ney.

During the War Between the States, Liendo hosted Cavalry and Infantry Training Camps, an Internment Camp, and a Hospital. For a brief time after the War, it served as headquarters for General George Armstrong Custer.

Experience the reenactment of the Civil War and all of the outfits etc to go with the times.

About Herr Schmale:
Dieter Schmale became an SV (Verein f�r Deutsche Sch�ferhunde) Judge in 1988, and has officiated at numerous German Regional Championships, FCI Qualification Trials, as well as serving as tracking judge at the 2004 Bundessiegerpr�fung (German National Championships). He also served as judge at Regional events and the WDA Nationals in the United States.

As a competitor, Dieter had the most success with his female Cora vom M�rchenwald, becoming four-time Regional Champion, three-time FCI Regional Champion, and placing 2nd in German FCI Qualification Trials in Gotha, 8th place in Borken, and 11th place in Warstein. Dieter and Cora also competed and placed 7th at the 2001 Bundessiegerpr�fung in G�ttingen.

An accomplished trainer, he has helped numerous dogs successfully compete at German National Service Dog, Schutzhund, and World Championships. He was a Teaching Helper for 10 years in the region of Westfalen, and served as trial decoy in many major events, including the SV Sieger Show and the 1988 World Championship in M�nster.

Dieter resides in Nordhorn, Germany and has been a member of the SV since 1974.
